E-mail is down, down, down...

Ugh...if you have tried to e-mail me since Friday I have been out of town and unable to check my e-mail. So now I am back in the office ready to go and guess what...my outlook is not working. It seems that something beyond my scope of "outlook knowledge" has taken over and will not let me view the messages.

I promise, I am normally more on top of things but these past ten months have been absolutely crazy. I am ready for a nice and easy summer. I feel like Charlie Brown lately. But don't worry...I think I have finally found an assistant! And she is super organized!Yippee!!!

So for now just call me at 972.814.4301 if you need anything.

Thanks!

Sweet Mary

I have spent the last hour or so touching up this portrait of my Aunt Mary in photoshop. It will be lovingly displayed at her memorial service tomorrow.
I remember the day it was taken. It was in the fall of 1984. I was eight-years-old and we were celebrating my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. There was a professional photographer at the event and he took family pictures for us while we were all together. The photographer will probably never know how much this simple portrait will be cherished by us all.
This is how we will remember Aunt Mary. Not as she was after the stroke nine years ago that left her disabled or as she was last week in her hospital bed after a massive aneurism. But rather as this young, beautiful, passionate woman who could drive you crazy in one moment and then lift you up in the next.
Rest now and find peace, Sweet Mary, you deserve it.

Fun Times!

Be joyful! I just love this portrait! It makes me giggle. I had so much fun with The E family and so, so many others during Portraits in the Park. I am still posting galleries so sit tight and hopefully they will all be complete by Friday!

I have emerged...almost!

Yippee! I am still way, way behind on orders, posting galleries, laundry, and everything else...but I am beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have had an amazing "ah ha" moment that I will share in a later blog, but it comes down to less clients and better service. I am working like crazy to get my new studio in full swing, but here is a sneak peek from a session I did in it last week. I can use studio lighting then turn them off, open my big southern exposure windows and then capture a more natural look. Let me know what you think.

Sweet Baby E was amazing! She would take some portraits, eat a little, take some more portraits, eat a little...and so on. This is exactly why I have such a passion for photography. You can completely see the bond that will be shared between these two beautiful ladies for a lifetime!
